This joint revolutionizes the work of joining high-voltage cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables. CSJs allow joint work to be performed quickly, easily and securely, without requiring special skills. The special features of CSJs are as follows: |

The CSJ body is a single-piece (unit) ferrule of pre-molded silicone rubber. |
A single CSJ unit contains a (stress-relief) high-voltage electrode, an insulation layer, a stress-relief cone and an (outer) external semiconductive layer. |

In the factory, the inner diameter of a CSJ is expanded to be larger than the outer diameter of the cables it will join. The diameter is expanded with a carrier pipe fitted at the factory, so there is no need to expand the diameter on site. |
On site, all that assembly technicians need to do is pull out the carrier pipe. The joint's inner diameter naturally contracts to fit the cables, so there is no need for any special skills or equipment. |
