VISCAS'S NEW EXPANSIONS
On October 1, 2001, VISCAS, a joint corporation of The Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. and Fujikura Ltd., commenced business operations as an underground power cable engineering and oversea sales and marketing company, utilizing the experience and expertise cultivated over the century in the field of design, engineering and construction work of power cables. Since its start of operations, VISCAS has been building up a good reputation for its outstanding technologies from the power companies in Japan as well as from around the world.
On January 1, 2005, VISCAS made an even greater leap, reshaping itself as a total power transmission and distribution system company. This new VISCAS provides overhead power transmission systems from remote areas to consumer regions; underground power transmission systems that assist in providing power to large metropolitan areas; and distribution system from urban substations to customers, supplying cables, accessories, construction works and peripheral items which form the basis of such systems. VISCAS, as a leading firm of power transmission and distribution systems in the world, expands its highly reliable technological strengths to the world in every phase of energy supply. |
